The jury and the people attending the event agreed that the first prize had to be given to the French quintet Espace Temps Quintett (4 sax and piano), a catchy union between skill, performance and stage presence!

The guests of honor at the final evening were the chamber group Camerata Porteña, that was born with the help of Piazzolla himself, American concert performer Peter Soave, who was judged as the best bandoneonist on the occasion of The Three Tenors' concert in USA, the great percussionist Tullio de Piscopo, the pianist Nando de Luca and the double bass player Alessandro Bedendo.
